About the Lab

ZeroGen Lab is an academic research laboratory dedicated to advancing frontier technologies in generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) and agentic systems. We advocate a from-zero mindset to explore GenAI and study how large language models (LLMs) acquire knowledge, manage long-term memory, and execute complex reasoning, with the ultimate goal of building next-generation systems that are more controllable, self-evolving, and practically applicable. Our current research interests primarily focus on:

  • (1) Capacity evaluation & deep understanding of LLMs,
  • (2) Agentic systems and long-term memory architectures,
  • (3) Sustainable human-AI relationship and collaboration.

Our Philosophy

We embrace a problem-driven and system-level research paradigm. Instead of chasing short-lived metric optimization, we focus on addressable, real-world complexity by integrating algorithms, data engineering, and scalable architectures, contributing solid methodological foundations toward deployable, practical, and trustworthy AI.
